Microhealth Global Medical Centers provide a range of healthcare services aimed at improving access to quality medical care in North West Region of Cameroon in particular and worldwide in General. Our medical centers typically focus on:

  1. **Comprehensive Care**: Offering primary, preventive, and specialized medical services to address various health needs.
  2. **Community Engagement**: Involving local communities in health initiatives and education to promote wellness and disease prevention.
  3. **Telemedicine**: Utilizing technology to provide remote consultations and follow-up care, particularly beneficial in underserved areas.
  4. **Training and Capacity Building**: Supporting local healthcare providers through training programs, ensuring sustainable healthcare practices.
  5. **Partnerships**: Collaborating with governments, NGOs, and other organizations to enhance healthcare delivery and resource allocation.
  6. **Culturally Competent Care**: Tailoring services to respect and meet the cultural needs of diverse patient populations.

Microhealth centers aim to bridge the gap in healthcare accessibility, especially in regions facing significant health disparities.

INTEGRATED MOBILE AND DENTAL CARE CLINICS

Dental Care encompasses a spectrum of services, from basic tooth brushing to complex treatments for conditions like heart disease and strokes linked to bacterial infections in the mouth. Preventive dental care is significantly more cost-effective than major interventions such as heart surgery or treating diseases like diabetes, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, and cancer that can arise from tooth decay. At Microhealth Global Dental Care Center, we prioritize quality care as a fundamental principle.

GLOBAL HEALTHCARE OBJECTIVES

  • **Provide Access**: Ensure dental care is available to patients in villages.
  • **Promote Accountability and Transparency**: Maintain clear practices in all operations.
  • **Facilitate Treatment and Referrals**: Offer comprehensive care and necessary referrals.
  • **Empower Local Teams**: Develop a grassroots approach for sustainable dental care.

HEALTHCARE IMPLEMENTATION METHODOLOGY AND COVERAGE

  • **Integrated Delivery System**: Establish a network linking health centers with an outreach van for dental care.
  • **Accountability and Assessment**: Create modules to ensure accountability and evaluate methodologies.
  • **Outreach Services**: Utilize mobile units for patient education, screening, check-ups, and referrals to clinics and hospitals.
  • **Local Implementation Teams**: Form technology and administrative teams to oversee operations.
  • **Patient Management Strategy**: Develop robust protocols, procedures, documentation, and policies for effective care delivery.
  • **Oversight Procedures**: Implement oversight for all critical components of the system.
  • **Management Committees**: Establish committees to handle essential management aspects.

The increasing demand for health outreach programs necessitates clinics similar to those provided by traditional hospitals. However, challenges such as poverty, lack of specialized staff, inadequate education, and poor infrastructure hinder patient access to healthcare facilities. Our outreach Dental Clinic addresses this gap by bringing medical care closer to communities. For areas the mobile clinic cannot reach, we deploy dental technicians on motorbikes as first responders. In Mbengwi District for example, we have established twenty-two health stops to enhance accessibility.
